House In The Wood – Sunninghill, Berkshire

The property is a large three-storey detached house constructed in 2005. The construction consists of steel frame with solid brickwork cross walls, precast concrete slab floors spanning between the cross walls, concrete block internal partition walls and timber traditional cut roof with a tiled finish. The Practice became involved in the project after severe problems were highlighted with the M&E systems after completion. CBC re-engineered the services installations, which necessitated the owners having to move into temporary accommodation whilst the works were undertaken.
