Cudd Bentley joins Global Sustainable Buildings Consultancy (GSBC)
Cudd Bentley is pleased to announce that it has joined Global Sustainable Buildings Consultancy (GSBC), providing a strong platform to build on more than four decades of specialist knowledge, trusted client relationships, and sustainable growth.
Established in 1978, Cudd Bentley has built a strong reputation for delivering building services engineering and sustainability consultancy across the education, healthcare, heritage, commercial, residential and public sectors. Joining GSBC will enable the business to build on this long-standing success while retaining the Cudd Bentley name, leadership team, culture and client relationships.
For our clients and partners, the relationships and ways of working they know and value will remain unchanged.
Cudd Bentley will continue to operate under its established name, with the same leadership, project teams and day-to-day contacts, and the same commitment to delivering a personal, high-quality service. As part of GSBC, our clients will also benefit from access to a broader network of expertise and resources, further strengthening the support we can provide across their projects.
GSBC brings together specialist consultancies with complementary expertise across the built environment. With Cudd Bentley joining the Group alongside QODA, ESD, TGA and VZDV, GSBC now comprises more than 200 engineers, sustainability experts and technical professionals operating across the UK.
The move gives clients access to the Group’s wider expertise across:
● Building services design and engineering
● Sustainability and Net Zero strategy
● Building performance and operational energy
● Passivhaus design and certification
● Heritage and conservation engineering
● Decarbonisation and retrofit
● Digital engineering and building analytics
● Strategic technical advisory services
The partnership also creates new opportunities for Cudd Bentley’s employees, including greater collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Group, enhanced career development and exposure to a wider range of projects, sectors and specialist expertise.
Steve Bainbridge, Managing Director of Cudd Bentley, said:
“As a business with a strong employee-owned heritage, finding the right long-term home for Cudd Bentley was one of the most important decisions we could make for our people and our clients.”
“GSBC shares our values, our commitment to technical excellence and our belief in investing in people. What impressed us most was their determination to preserve the culture, independence and client focus that have made Cudd Bentley successful for so many years.”
“Joining the Group allows us to build on everything we’ve achieved while creating exciting new opportunities for our clients, our employees and the future growth of the business.”
Stephen Hawkins, Chief Corporate Development Officer of GSBC, said:
“Welcoming Cudd Bentley into the Group is a defining moment for GSBC. Reaching more than 200 specialists isn’t simply a milestone in our growth; it reflects the strength, depth and resilience we are building to support our clients for the long term.”
