CBC Achieves Recognition in Awards Nominations
Cudd Bentley Consulting has worked hard during 2025 to solidify its reputation as a leader in mechanical and electrical engineering and an advocate of sustainable building performance. We know how effective our team is, but it has been especially gratifying for this to be recognised throughout the industry as evidenced by our recent nominations for prestigious industry awards.
Last month, the sustainability team were invited to a conference in London called ‘Building Performance Reimagined – What’s Next’. CBC’s dedication to understanding and implementing progressive building practices aligned perfectly with the content of the discussions. The conference brought practitioners together as part of a project aimed to serve as a holistic, honest, and long-term assessment of how our wider world is changing.
The conference outlined clear, actionable steps to drive the necessary change we need to see in the built environment. Central to the event were talks on case studies showcasing real-world applications of emerging performance metrics, groundbreaking solutions, and successful retrofitting initiatives. Following the conference, some members of the CBC sustainability team took the opportunity to mix with peers in the networking drinks after the conference. This occasion celebrated the shortlisted entrants – including Cudd Bentley – for the 2026 CIBSE Building Performance Awards which will take place 5th March 2026.
Embodied Carbon Award nomination
CBC is thrilled to receive recognition in the prestigious CIBSE Awards in the “Embodied Carbon – Services and Project: For Consultants” category. Alongside CBC, ARUP and Buro Happold, are also finalists for embodied carbon analysis among all the participants. The CIBSE Awards are widely recognised as a benchmark of excellence within the building services industry, celebrating organisations that demonstrate innovation, leadership, and measurable impact in sustainable design and performance.
Being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team. Through rigorous analysis, innovative strategies, and collaborative efforts, we have consistently delivered solutions that minimise embodied carbon and support the transition to a low-carbon future. This achievement reflects not only our technical capability but also our commitment to driving meaningful change in the built environment. We believe that sustainability is at the heart of responsible design, and we are proud to contribute to shaping industry best practices.
We extend our sincere thanks to our hardworking team and valued partners for their continued support and collaboration. Together, we are making a positive impact on the journey toward net zero.
Award nomination for Best Asset Management Initiative
We were also delighted to be shortlisted for an award for our work on a project on asset management. This nomination was for The Revo’s awards which took place on 3rd December. The Revo’s celebrate excellence across the built environment and highlight achievements in development, investment, asset management, operations, customer experience, and destination marketing within the sector.
It is an occasion that recognises and celebrates talent within the retail, leisure and placemaking property sector. To be shortlisted in the Best Asset Management Initiative category for our work supporting The Chimes, Uxbridge was a real honour. We did not win but it was a fantastic night and we were grateful to be listed amongst our peers driving innovation in our industry.
As we look ahead to 2026, Cudd Bentley Consulting remains committed to advancing sustainable building performance and setting new benchmarks in mechanical and electrical engineering services. The recognition we have already received through award nominations underscores the value of professional acknowledgement in driving innovation and excellence across the industry. Awards not only celebrate achievement but also inspire continued progress, encouraging teams to push boundaries and deliver meaningful change. With the upcoming CIBSE Building Performance Awards and other opportunities for recognition on the horizon, CBC is excited to build on the momentum of 2025 and continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients in the year ahead.
