The existing&nbsp;store will be retained during the construction of the new development.</p>

<p>Cudd Bentley Consulting commitment in today's environment to produce energy efficient and sustainable buildings has led it to develop a specialist department dealing with sustainability and environmental engineering.</p>

<h2><u><b>Air Conditioning System Inspections and Reports</b></u></h2>
<p>The practice has accredited air conditioning inspectors to undertake air conditioning inspections and produce reports for both simple and complex installations.<br></p><b><u></u></b>
<h2><b><u>Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)</u></b></h2>
<p>The practice employs fully qualified Low Carbon Energy Assessors who are accredited ti use iSBEM software necessary to produce Energy Performance Certificates for all commercial buildings.<br></p>
<h2><b><u>Display Energy Certificates (DEC's)<br></u></b></h2>
<p>CBC employ qualified staff that can provide Operational Ratings for public buildings based on the actual amount of metered energy used over a 12 month cycle.</p>
<h2><u>Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA's)</u><br></h2>
<p>CBC employs qualified staff that are proficient in using RdSAP software to produce Domestic Energy Certificates to the Level 3 requirement.</p>
<h2><u>BREEAM Assessments Retail/Offices</u></h2>
<p>CBC staff include licensed assessors qualified to undertake BREEAM assessments on Retail and Office developments. BREEAM ratings are used by the property industry as a bench mark to measure sustainability and best practice in the environmental design and performance of both new and existing buildings.</p>

<p>Part L competent engineers can check both domestic and commercial compliance of Part L regulations generating reports showing a satisfactory level of compliance. In the case where a building or site fails to meet compliance a recommendations report highlighting the areas requiring improvements and possible methods that may be utilised to achieve compliance.</p>
<h2><u>3D Modelling</u></h2>
<p>Accurate 3D models for buildings and site developments on accredited Software, which produces accurate depictions of buildings energy needs and assists in producing:-</p>

<p>Development of vacant land abutting the Chequers Shopping Centre to incorporate a new 35,000ft<sup>2</sup>&nbsp;retail unit and&nbsp;15,000ft<sup>2</sup>&nbsp;office complex.&nbsp; The office complex includes a feature atrium and pedestrian links to both King Street and the shopping centre.&nbsp; Adjacent to this site an existing 80,000ft<sup>2</sup>&nbsp;seven storey office complex was completely refurbished and a bridge link incorporated between it and the new office.&nbsp;</p>
<p>During the project, the new offices and part of the refurbished offices were pre-let to Maidstone Borough Council and the services were amended to suit the tenants particular needs. Major infrastructure upgrades with required by EDF within the town centre to support the loads associated with this project.</p>

<p>The project involved&nbsp;the complete refurbishment of a 3 storey 100,000ft<sup>2</sup> headquarters office building.&nbsp; The office footplate has a cruciform layout with glazed elevations, housed within a glazed external box.&nbsp;&nbsp;Which created a&nbsp;perimeter closed atria on each elevation of the building.&nbsp; Environmental control difficulties had been reported by the original tenants of the building, attributable to the underfloor displacement system. This was resolved by the conversion of the original installation to serve a new underfloor VAV HVAC system to provide enhanced temperature control and flexibility with the space.&nbsp; The offices&nbsp;were stripped back to Category A and completely refitted prior to the occupancy of the new tenant.&nbsp;</p>
