The proposal covers the major redevelopment of the existing land at Broadwater Road, known locally as the former Shredded Wheat factory site.  New build and change of use to include up to 850 dwellings, workspace,   a healthcare facility, a hotel, Class A1, A3 and A4 units and a community building:-The demolition of non-original silos and factory and the refurbishment and change of use of the original silos, Production Building,   Grain Store and Boiler House.

The provision of landscaping to include a linear park, a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), allotments, green walls and a neighbourhood square.  Highways work to include the widening of footways and the provision of cycleways to Broadwater Road and Bridge Road, together with the works to Hyde Way and the erection of a new footbridge from Bridge Road leading directly into the scheme.  Our involvement has covered the spatial planning for the proposed Plant, Energy, Sustainability, code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM reports and the utility infrastructure to the proposed site.
