Cudd Bentley has been appointed to undertake a compliance monitoring role associated with the mechanical and electrical services for a prestigious new mixed scheme development in Woolwich for Spenhill Limited.
The development comprises of a Tesco store, basment parking and plantrooms, ground floor level retail units, residential units that wrap around the building beneath the podium level and 5 residential blocks above the podium. Soft and hard landscaping areas are proposed at podium level comprising of public realm and childrens play area.
A gas fired CCHP system is to be installed to the development in order to comply with Part L2 of the building regulations and local planning conditions. It will serve the domestic hot water requirements along with part cooling for the Tesco store via an absorption chiller. Electricity generated by the CCHP plant will feed into the Tesco store LV supply, reducing overall demand from the grid. |

Design of this mixed use scheme which incorporates a new main line station ticket office for Epsom.
The scheme incorporates 120 residential units complying to Code for Sustainable Homes – Code Level 3, a 60 bed Hotel as well as retail units at ground Level.
The key to the project is maintaining full access to the station through the site as well as providing a fully equipped temporary ticket office whilst a new office is being constructed. |

A regeneration mixed use scheme located adjacent to Kings Cross Railway Station.
The development comprises a number of listed commercial buildings, 2 No new build offices, a new build residential block and hotel. The existing listed buildings are being refurbished and converted into 43 No residential units, incorporating part affordable housing, office facilities and a “shell and core” leisure facility.
The new build residential block incorporates a ground floor level restaurant and a basement car parking facility and provides 32 apartments.
Our involvement with the Hotel development was to liaise with the local and Statutory Authorities, in conjunction with the Hotel’s own design team, to provide adequate infrastructure works including drainage and incoming gas, water and electrical supplies. |

| | The property is a large three storey detached house constructed in 2005. The construction consists of steel frame with solid brickwork cross walls, precast concrete slab floors spanning between the cross walls, concrete block internal partition walls and timber traditional cut rood with tiled finish. The practice became involved in the project after severe problems with highlighted with the M&E systems are completion.
CBC re-engineered the services installations which necessitated the owners having to move into temporary accommodation whilst the works were undertaken. |
