Cudd Bentley Consulting commitment in today's environment to produce energy efficient and sustainable buildings has led it to develop a specialist department dealing with sustainability and environmental engineering.

Air Conditioning System Inspections and Reports

The practice has accredited air conditioning inspectors to undertake air conditioning inspections and produce reports for both simple and complex installations.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)

The practice employs fully qualified Low Carbon Energy Assessors who are accredited to use iSBEM software necessary to produce Energy Performance Certificates for all commercial buildings.

Display Energy Certificates (DEC's)

CBC employ qualified staff that can provide Operational Ratings for public buildings based on the actual amount of metered energy used over a 12 month cycle.

Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA's)

CBC employs qualified staff that are proficient in using RdSAP software to produce Domestic Energy Certificates to the Level 3 requirement.

BREEAM Assessments Retail/Offices/Industrial

CBC staff include licensed assessors qualified to undertake BREEAM assessments on Retail, Industrial and Office developments. BREEAM ratings are used by the property industry as a bench mark to measure sustainability and best practice in the environmental design and performance of both new and existing buildings.

Feasibility Reports

CBC staff include CIBSE accredited Low Carbon Consultants able to produce feasibility reports establishing the most appropriate LZC energy source for a building or development covering:-

• Energy generated from LZC energy source per year
• Payback
• Land Use
• Local planning requirements
• Noise
• Carbon Emission analysis
• Available grants
• Energy demand of site and appropriate technologies
• Optimum selection of sustainable technologies

Energy / Sustainability Reports

Professional Sustainability and Energy Reports tailored to respond to specific planning policies or supplementary planning guidance.

Code for Sustainable Homes Assessment

CBC staff are accredited by BRE to provide Code for Sustainable Homes assessments, covering the following:-

• design stage assessment and advice to the Client/Architect to ensure the required rating is achieved.
• post completion assessment to validate compliance with the code.

SAP Assessments

Part L competent assessors capable of producing SAP calculations for all types of domestic dwellings on accredited software

Part L Compliance and Recommendation Reports

Part L competent engineers can check both domestic and commercial compliance of Part L regulations generating reports showing a satisfactory level of compliance. In the case where a building or site fails to meet compliance a recommendations report highlighting the areas requiring improvements and possible methods that may be utilised to achieve compliance.

3D Modelling

Accurate 3D models for buildings and site developments on accredited Software, which produces accurate depictions of buildings energy needs and assists in producing:-

• sun path and Shadow Analysis.
• generating Passive design measures appropriate to site.
• energy reports
